Abstract

This Thesis has two objectives: to present a critical reflection on libertarian writing within immanent study and to explore the method of immanent study as a proposal that incorporates libertarian writing as a principle and guiding thread for bibliographic studies. Writing is incorporated as the ontological priority of immanent study in two senses. First, because it is where the study begins, without delay; second, because it is through writing that the study gains structure, progresses, disciplines itself, and fertilizes itself—that is, writing fertilizes the study, not the other way around. Given this ontological priority of writing in the method of immanent study, we present a brief relationship between writing and social formation. We also reflect on academic writing at the university, as writing is inseparable from the training of new researchers. For this, we draw on the studies of Irandé Antunes (2005), Brito (2015), Marques (1998), and Bezerra (2019a, b, c). In this line of propositions, we conducted a brief bibliographic review, aiming to demonstrate the contribution of writing to the achievement of autonomy, authorship, and self-formation in immanent study. Subsequently, we present immanent study as a method of study, developed by the Research Group on the Sociology of Pedagogical Work, Curriculum, and Human Formation (GEPSTUFAL) from 2011 to the present, and how it contributes to the assimilation of the languages of the sciences (human, natural, exact, among others) and the appropriation of knowledge from the disciplines of these sciences, offered in basic and higher education. Finally, we highlight the driving force behind the "Formation of the Self" Study Program, developed in 2013 (BEZERRA, 2019c). This program has consistently guided, nourished, and renewed the research, teaching, and extension projects of the Research Group. The method of immanent study does not follow the rules of the banking model of education. It penetrates the unconscious of those in formation through self-writing—writing of oneself, in oneself, by oneself, and for oneself—carried out in the immanent study of academic works and textbooks. It is this libertarian writing within immanent study, which pedagogically and rhizomatically takes root within us, that manages to reach some living spaces of the body: soul, mind, and memory. I feel the positive impact of this method on my performance, in achieving intellectual maturity, and in professional creativity.
