Relatório técnico da reportagem especial Jurema Sagrada: uma tradição religiosa para além das velas acesas

Abstract

This report highlights the process of creating a special news story on the religious tradition of the Holy Jurema, an Amerindian-based religion whose cult was established mainly in northeastern Brazil. The text of the news story was built by the narrative and stylistic resources of literary journalism, as opposed to the traditional structures of newsmaking, in the sense of enhancing the textual dimension to enrich the reader's experience. Through the narrative construction of the special news story, as well as the resources of the profile genre, it is expected that the reader reaches a level of understanding about the traditions of the Holy Jurema that transcends merely factual or expository information, to have a more complete mastery over the object of the text, with the recognition of the nuances, motivations and emotions of the characters.
