Verticalização e patrimônio cultural: um olhar sobre os atributos patrimoniais das edificações verticais do Setor de Preservação Rigorosa (SPR) da Zona Especial de Preservação (ZEP) 2, o Centro de Maceió/AL

Abstract

This work entitled VERTICALIZATION AND CULTURAL HERITAGE: A look at the heritage attributes of vertical buildings in the Rigorous Preservation Sector (SPR) of the Special Preservation Zone (ZEP) 2, the Center of Maceió/AL, has as its general objective: to analyze the vertical buildings located in the Rigorous Preservation Sector (SPR) of the Special Preservation Zone (ZEP) 2 and its immediate surroundings, downtown Maceió/AL, identifying their heritage attributes and degree of integrity, from the perspective of the verticalization process in that location . The specific objectives are: 1. Identify the process of construction, evolution and consolidation of the vertical architecture in the study environment; 2. Characterize the vertical buildings of the Rigorous Preservation Sector and the immediate surroundings of the Center of Maceió/AL and its current state of conservation; 3. Develop conservation guidelines for the cultural heritage significance of vertical buildings. Methodologically, the work was developed in the following parts: 1. Investigate the product through research carried out in a virtual way, spatialize the vertical buildings that fit in the work and in the urban mesh, allowing the contextualization of the objects studied in concepts of categorization of verticalization; 2. List, value and describe the buildings that are included in the concept adopted, about verticalization, going through, at the same time, a theoretical review of the bibliography that deals with the concepts to be applied in the study of the development of verticalization in the studied environment, prepare a Declaration of Cultural Significance; 3. Produce guiding assumptions for intervention, in vertical buildings that presented cultural significance, and design and landscape action lines. Fifty buildings were studied in the Rigorous Preservation Sector (SPR) and its immediate surroundings, in the Special Preservation Zone 2 (ZEP 2), in the Centro district in Maceió, Alagoas. Of these 50, 25 vertical buildings had cultural heritage significance and of these 25, 16 vertical buildings were considered intact, 5 vertical buildings partially intact and 4 vertical buildings degraded. The conservation guidelines were structured in general guidelines that conserve the site as a whole and that also describe existing guidelines in the Maceió Master Plan and in the Urban Planning Code. The specific guidelines were guidelines related to the preservation and restoration of vertical buildings, such as the integrity condition of each of the buildings categorized in their respective groups. Each specific guideline intervenes more or less effectively in architectural elements, interfering with the facades and landscaping the site.
