Medidas socioeducativas: reflexões sobre as condições socioeconômicas e familiares dos adolescentes praticantes de ato infracional

Abstract

The present work is the result of the practice of a supervised internship carried out at the Male Internment Unit Extension 3 (UIME3) in an institution of Socio-Educational Measures, as the main objective of studying these measures and studying the socioeconomic profile of the families of adolescents and adolescents fulfilling socioeducational measure of hospitalization in a city of Alagoas. The problem experienced by adolescents in conflict with the law is addressed, discussing the social position occupied by these adolescents and their family group that live on the margins of the social welfare society. To this end, bibliographical research was carried out in the light of specific and related references to Social and Documentary Service, which provided knowledge of the rights of the child and youth segment, the limits and advances of the Brazilian legislation that supports the functioning of the socio-educational system. Also, during the months of October, November and December 2021, the study of data from 21 socio-educators and their families was carried out. The data point to the predominance of brown adolescents, with low education, from the interior of the state, who, due to several factors, had to work from an early age. Given these indicators, we can understand that these adolescents live in a precarious socioeconomic situation and that this reality can be a determining factor that favors the practice of the infraction. Given the above, the data collected show that these adolescents and their families live in risky conditions. Therefore, there is an absolute distance between the protective rights of the vulnerable and the real conditions experienced by them in the current context, which can fuel the recurrence of the infraction and be an obstacle to the “reeducation” process.
