O serviço social e a sua inserção na sociedade: um estudo sobre a origem e a função do serviço social a partir da ontologia de György Lukács

Abstract

The dissertation that we present has as its subject of study the genesis of Social Service and the moment that social activity is needed in a particular historical context. According to Ontology of Lukács, our investigation has as reference work as category that founds the social being. On the other hand, this work is composed of teleology and causality with an activity of the subject which acts on the material objectivity of meaning an interaction between man and nature. With the work, it is also developed other social complexes such as language, cooperation and division of labor. In this regard, the general objective of this research is to analyze the basis materials that constitute the Social Service under the monopoly capitalism to the apprehending of the origin and social function of this profession. For this purpose, our research is divided into two sections. In the first, we will understand the role of category work in the social and the ontological foundations of division of labor, because it is this social complex that gives rise to the professions. In this way, we will seek to answer the following question: How was the process of development of division of labor and the emergence of professions? In the second section, we will be focusing on the monopolistic capitalism and the role of the State, at this stage, to meet the accumulation and expansion of capital, with the purpose of explaining the historical and social context that gave basis for the emergence of the Social Service. Thus, we will seek to answer the guiding questions of this study: What did Social Service request as a profession? Is there a possibility of Social Service to change its social function by building a critical professional project? Finally, our investigation will be based on bibliographical research and grounded in Marxian materialist ontology. Therefore, we hope to get to Social Service pertinent reflections to the historical-material foundations of the profession.
