Currículo em ação na graduação em enfermagem: transversalidade na disciplina de saúde da mulher

Abstract

This Academic Completion of the Course (TACC) brings the following sections: presentation; article originated from the research carried out during the master's degree; and related products. At the end, the final considerations of the TACC are described and the appendices and annexes are made available. The presentation explains the personal motivations that led to the research, as well as the trajectory of the researcher to the execution of the product. The theme of this article is "curriculum in action in undergraduate nursing: transversality in the discipline of women's health". The general objective was: To verify the conception of the teachers in relation to the transversality and the learning teaching process in the feminine health discipline, from the perspective of the curriculum in action. This is an exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, was carried out in a private nursing graduation course, located in the city of Maceió-AL. The subjects were 5 teachers and the coordinator of the course. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview. The analysis and interpretation of the data were made from the content analysis. The results showed that from the description of the subjects the practice of transversality has been confused with the interdisciplinarity, since the disciplines are contributed from the specific knowledge, because the teachers involved have different specialties, which complement each other. However, they considered that the moment in which the interconnection between the disciplines occurred was timely and that they believe in this practice because it strengthens the process of teaching learning. However, weaknesses were pointed out, such as the lack of integration among the teachers involved. They left as a proposal for the improvement of the transversality, the accomplishment of planning in the beginning of the semester, in order to contribute to a better integration between the disciplines, as well as, pedagogical workshops to improve this practice in the curriculum in action. The research allowed the proposal of two products: a workshop script, and a technical report of this workshop, entitled "Application of transversality in a Nursing curriculum". The workshop facilitated reflections on the curriculum based on the concepts of interdisciplinarity and transversality, favoring the undergraduate nursing course to adapt to what has been proposed by the "new curricular guidelines", and from the understanding of the proposals contributed to an alignment between the participants in relation to the current context of the course.
