Clarice Lispector por entrelinhas: um olhar sobre suas fontes biográficas

Abstract

This work proposed to make a study about the biographical sources about the writer Clarice Lispector considered, by the literary critic, as one of the main references of the Brazilian literature of the 20th century. Recognizing that Clarice Lispector’s life and work transcend the fabric of the literary text, it was decided, under a content analysis, to examine two biographies produced on Clarice Lispector of the seven that were found during the preparation of this study. The sources of information, as one of the studies of Librarianship, make it possible to provide specific answers. Biographies, as secondary sources of information, constitute a kind of filter of data ordered among themselves about a certain person. Therefore, when understanding the figure of Clarice Lispector as an informational source, the research investigated and categorized the informational contents that are registered in these biographies. In addition, the number of biographical works was verified and then selected those to be analyzed, according to established criteria; the analysis categories were determined; it was pointed out from which other sources of information the biographies about the author originated; and it was pointed out, if there are traits in them that dialogue with the author's literary production. In this way, due to the categorical and analytical establishment of these works, the permanent dialogue between the biographical source and the writer's literary text was delimited, above all by the biographical content. Therefore, the biographical sources analyzed about the author were extremely important, as they revealed crucial data about Clarice Lispector to the reader. Given this, it was possible to draw a dialogical and tenuous line between biography and literature. Thus, it was understood that the biographies about Clarice Lispector bring together a set of information about the social, aesthetic and literary aspects in which the author is inserted and, therefore, this discussion becomes relevant.
