Consulta de enfermagem ginecológica: desafios e avanços, uma revisão integrativa

Abstract

The gynecological nursing consultation is exclusive to the nurse, according to Teixeira et. Al. (2013) allows establishing a dialogue between the professional and the users of the services, raising the gynecological, social and psychological needs of the women who seek care, interrelating the biological aspects with those mentioned above. In view of this, the nurse is the professional who has contributed so that the gynecological nursing consultation is carried out in an effective and humanized way . Thus, the present study aims to identify evidence in the literature about the challenges and advances of CEG and its importance for women's health. This is an integrative literature review, according to the recommendations of the Preferred Reporting Itemsse Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The following guiding question was used:" What are the challenges and advances found by the nursing professional in gynecological consultations?" The established search sources were: LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences), BDENF (Nursing Database) and SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online). From the studies found, 187 articles were selected, which were submitted to the inclusion criteria, with a dense attentive reading in full. Of the total corpus, eleven studies were included in the review, meeting the established criteria, specifically, online articles available in full, free of charge, published in Portuguese, English or Spanish, published in the period 2016-2022 and dealing with the proposed theme. In the selected studies, the presence of the theme Cervical Cancer was identified in a large number of the participants of each research carried out, despite not being included in the descriptors. From the analysis, it was also found that professional recycling, low demand for health education, fear of nursing consultations and issues about gender and sexuality, contributed significantly to the challenges found in this study. Thus, the importance of gathering information that can support strategic interventions for advances to support nursing professionals assigned to perform the CEG is evident.
