A presença da mulher no guerreiro alagoano

Abstract

This article reports the presence of women in Guerreiro Alagoano, an artistic manifestation of the culture of popular tradition in Alagoas. Considering the incisive male presence teaching this merriment and the importance of the work carried out by women in this context, we highlight the leadership of the teachers from Alagoas Joana Gajurú, Maria Flor, Maria Vitória and Iraci Bomfim. For the production of data, interviews, bibliographical research and consultation of documentary videos were carried out. The aim of this work was to contribute to studies about the warrior from Alagoas, especially in the academic scope of the Theater course, highlighting the female figure in this context. After the study, it is concluded that it is important to address and highlight the work developed by these masters, contributing to the appreciation of the work done by them for the continuity of this scenic tradition from Alagoas.
