Um pomar de pensamentos: a relação entre o texto verbal e a ilustração em Amoras, de Emicida /

Abstract

Literature can be seen as an exercise for reflection and as a way of empowerment for many people, from a representative perspective. Children’s literature, beyond the written text, often presents illustrations, which mutually collaborate to construct meanings. This work focuses on the analysis of the main character from Amoras (2018), written by Emicida, considering the relationship between verbal text and illustration. The main objective of this work is to analyze how the relationship between verbal text and illustration happens. At the same time, the devices used in the development of the central character and how they shape her personality will also be an object of analysis. The research has as its theoretical basis reflections studies that focuses on the verbal text-illustration relationship (LINDEN, 2011; VASCONCELOS, 2019) in dialogue with texts that analyze the different forms of character construction (CANDIDO, 2009). Furthermore, several statements from the author Emicida were used as a material of analysis for the development of this research, considering the artist's musical and social influences, such as the historical empowerment used as a reference in the construction of the haracter. In conclusion, it is possible to affirm that the lines and colors used in the illustration worked together with the verbal text in the construction of the character's personality.
