Estratégias interventivas do Serviço Social na educação

Abstract

Considering the growing importance of Social Work in building inclusive educational practices and overcoming social inequalities in the school environment, this study focuses on the intervention strategies of Social Work in the school community. The general objective is to understand how these interventions contribute to promoting a fairer, more accessible and empowering education for all students, regardless of their socioeconomic conditions, capabilities or cultural origins. Specifically, it seeks to map the main strategies adopted by social workers, collaborate and expand these practices in promoting inclusion and student empowerment, and explore the role of interdisciplinary collaboration in optimizing these interventions. The methodology adopted was a narrative literature review, which allowed detailed analysis of a wide range of sources, including case studies, empirical research and reports of practical experiences. The results indicate that Social Service interventions are crucial for identifying and removing barriers to inclusion, fostering the development of social and academic skills in students and promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual respect among all members of the school community. It is concluded that, despite the challenges faced, the intervention strategies of Social Work in education are fundamental to move towards more equitable and inclusive educational systems.
