Abstract

Considering that the study seeks to analyze the current economic scenario in the country, research was carried out on the importance of financial education for new individual investors in the Brazilian stock exchange, in order to understand the importance of financial education for new investors. investors. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the factors that influence new investors on the stock exchange and verify the profile and predominant characteristics of new investors on the stock exchange. A descriptive and bibliographical qualitative/quantitative research was then carried out. Given this, it was found that the vast majority of the population surveyed is dissatisfied with the low yield on savings, plus the drop in interest rates and the willingness to learn to apply their resources in other types of investments to multiply their capital, could to perceive: gender; the monthly income; the predominant profile; the age group and geographic location of Brazilian investors, which imposes the verification that the theme is of fundamental importance, as well as the introduction of financial education in a clear and objective way for the entire population.
