Mulheres e investimento: uma análise bibliográfica sobre a evolução das mulheres na B3

Abstract

This work sought to analyze the evolution of women on the Stock Exchange (B3) through a comprehensive approach exploring several interconnected aspects, from the historical trajectory of female presence in the financial market to identifying the profile of investors in different regions and age groups. Furthermore, we investigated the asset diversification strategy invested by these women, and investment trends by gender. Our approach was based on descriptive, qualitative analysis, delving deeper into the context and nuances of these characteristics. Furthermore, we carried out a bibliographical analysis to support our conclusions and insights. To obtain data, we used the analysis of reports from B3 and Anbima, seeking to identify important information related to the investor profile, diversification and evolution of investments. The literature review sought to explore the origin of the financial market, the involvement of women in this scenario and concepts related to investments in both fixed and variable income. The results revealed that although the number of women on the stock market is growing, compared to men this number is still lower, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais are the states with the largest number of women investing in the stock market, and that they take a cautious approach to investing. Thus, this study seeks to contribute to a more complete and informed understanding of the female presence in the world of investments, aligned with the purpose of promoting a more equitable and inclusive representation of women in the financial scenario.
