A dimensão investigativa do processo formativo do/a assistente social em Alagoas

Abstract

This work discusses the investigative dimension in the process of graduation of social workers in the state of Alagoas and reflects on the professional profile sought and expressed over the decades in the various professional training projects admitted by Social Work. For that, the research went through the historical background in social, political and economic context - Brazil and Alagoas – through bibliographical and documentary research, having as source a set of books, articles, Pedagogical Projects of the Social Work Course at the Federal University of Alagoas, documents corresponding to the history of the Social Work in Alagoas from the School “Padre Anchieta” until the exit of the course and insertion in UFAL, such materials consulted in the Documentary Collection of the College of Social Service of UFAL. The materials used in this research and studied in documents date from the 1970s to the 2000s, treated in the form of reading, selection of central contents in the debate, notes in tables and schemes, literature analysis and reflection. The research problem was motivated by questions about the contribution of research to professional training and how it relates to the construction of the profile of the social worker, as well as the research conceptions that permeate higher education and training in Social Work over the history of the profession. In this sense, the production presented in this work includes the place that the research dimension occupies in professional training, considering the historical changes, the professional projects undertaken since the first Social Service Schools, as well as, identifies the spaces of discussion fomented by the representative entities of the profession and the theoretical-methodological debate through the decades.
