Abstract

This work deals with a project for documenting narratives told by indigenous people of the Kalankó community to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of oral tradition, which is important to keep alive the customs and ancestral wisdom, which have so much to teach us about original peoples and modern society. The work is documentary in nature, with qualitative methodology, and records and analyzes the narratives obtained in the community through 4 inhabitants. It is used as theoretical reference the knowledge of Herbetta (2005), Aguiar and Pereira (2017), Silva (2020), Eberhard (2013), Roland Barthes (1981), and Benjamin (1986). This work contributes by bringing a survey and report of the history lived by the inhabitants since their arrival at the place where they live to the present day.
