“Hoje a notícia é a greve dos jornalistas” a mobilização online da classe jornalística alagoana em defesa do piso salarial

Abstract

This paper aims to address the strike of journalists from Alagoas, which occurred between June and July 2019, starting from the cut of the engagement of strikers through social networks and media. We sought to identify and analyze the specific tactics used by the movement in each network - Twitter, Instagram and Facebook - to understand its operationalization and the achievement of objectives, in addition to the regional impacts of the mobilization and how it reverberated among journalists in the country. The existence of work is justified by the historical, social and effective importance with regard to the developments that emerged during and after the strike, since not only was its main objective of avoiding the salary cut but also the decision in the judgment of the collective bargaining it served as a precedent against the decrease in salaries of other professional categories. As a theoretical framework, works were used that deal with social manifestations in networks and how this digital representation acts in addition to actions in the physical space, such as the theory of the digital prince, the work of Miguel de Castells and the theory of actors in the network. The elaboration of the monograph was done in a qualitative way through readings and experiences of the strike moment, in addition to the analysis of data and metrics of each of the social networks in which there were the manifestations of support to the strike to measure the impact caused by the use of the networks simultaneously with the demonstration tactics in the local discs.
